Apple today sent out invites to this year’s iPhone event that will take place on Wednesday, September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater inside Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The 2018 iPhone event will begin at 10am Pacific Time and will be live streamed to the world at Apple Events page.
The teaser invite has “Gather round” tagline below what appears to be the main ring-shaped building at Apple Park. The 2018 iPhone line-up is highly anticipated to offer three new iPhones, two featuring OLED dsplays and one with LCD, which will be a budget offering. Well, that’s the main lead of the show!
Apple is also expected to announce a re-designed Apple Watch, along with updates to the iPad Pro and and MacBook Air, if we follow the rumor mill. The new MacBook Air is likely to gain minimal bezels and Retina Display, while the Apple Watch and iPad Pro could get bigger screen and FaceID support, respectively.
In the end, It’s September 12 that will decide what rumors and analysis are true. We’ll be live blogging the special event next month so make sure you’re tuned to our channels.
Apple Special Event scheduled for October 30, new iPad and Macs incoming
Apple loves New York, too!
Apple today sent out invites to the media for a Special Event on Tuesday, October 30. Surprisingly enough, the event will take place at the Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York instead of the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, where Apple unveiled the iPhone Xs and iPhone XR last month.
The Special Event invite reads “There’s more in the making,” and doesn’t come in one single design teaser like past Apple event invites. Apple has used a slew of unique designs for the invite, which makes it no easy to decode or guess what in particular is in the making. Following the leaks and rumors that have been suggesting this event for some time now, however, we’re very likely to witness new iPad Pro and Mac hardware updates at the event.

New iPad & Macs
Apple is expected to bring Face ID on the iPad Pro with slimmer bezels and larger display. This will be the first time we’ll see Face ID on a device that’s not an iPhone. The company is also rumored to ditch Lightning port in favor of USB Type-C, which I still don’t think could be the case (but it should be).
Apple’s October Special Event is also for customers who’ve been waiting for an upgrade to the MacBook Air. As Bloomberg reported in August, the new MacBook Air will have slimmer bezels and a high-resolution Retina display to fit for Apple’s low-cost MacBook Air. That’s not all…! We could also see an upgraded Mac mini at the event, which will be targeted at power users.
Also, there are some chances that Apple will talk about the Apple Watch Series 4’s ECG app and the long-forgotten AirPower wireless charging mat that’s supposed to ship later this year. Yes, it’s been more than a year since Apple announced the AirPower charging mat.
Apple Special Event will be live streamed on Apple Events page so tune in at 10am ET on Tuesday, October 30 to watch the keynote live from New York. Stay tuned!

Watch Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Launch Event Live
There’s more Google Hardware in store!
Google has its 2018 hardware event on Tuesday, October 9 in New York. Of course, it is #MadeByGoogle. The event will be live streamed through Google’s YouTube channel at 8am Pacific Time, which corresponds to 8:45pm Nepal Time.
The #MadeByGoogle event last year unveiled the Pixel 2 alongside a handful of Google Home devices, and we’re excepting no more than upgrades to the 2017 hardware lineup from Google. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, which have been widely leaking out in the past few months, will see its official unveiling during the keynote. Furthermore, we’re also expecting to see Google Chrome tablets and third-generation Chromecast at the event.
As mentioned above, Google will be live streaming the #MadeByGoogle event so you can watch it all as it happens right here. Additionally, the company will also be streaming the event on Twitter, which is accompanied by a Twitter stream of the event hashtag across the social network.
Samsung has ‘A Galaxy Event’ scheduled for October 11
Yet another Galaxy coming next month. Phone, Camera, or what else?
Samsung is hosting a Galaxy event on October 11 next month. The company posted a brief note about the event on its press website, in a surprising move today. We’ll be seeing a new Galaxy device that will offer “more ways to express yourself than ever before,” says Samsung.
The event teaser reads “4x fun” in the heading, which we have no idea what it’s hinting toward but a Galaxy device. This indeed is a surprising news, provided it’s coming from a company who released its phablet flagship, Galaxy Note 9 last month. And also not long after Apple wrapped up its iPhone Xs event this week. Samsung’s Galaxy event poster doesn’t reveal anything about what we will be seeing next month — a phone, camera, or something new — but it will be four times the fun, according to the South Korean giant.
As there’s no mention of the event location, the Galaxy event could be an online announcement across Samsung’s website on October 11, 2018. Stay tuned for what happens next on this story.
