ABC News has aired a video highlighting Apple’s top secret fitness lab – the world’s most advanced fitness lab. The lab indeed is a research place for the Apple Watch and HealthKit. Apple didn’t entertain any outsider or camera stuffs inside the lab until now. Looks like ABC News got the exclusive permission!

The report reveals that Apple employees were involved in the secret experiment, workout actually, since past two years, though Apple didn’t tell them what the experiment was all about. The employees were equipped with various sensors on their bodies, and notably a blue face mask that measures one’s breathing. Take a look on the video embedded below.

Apple HomePod White

Apple’s new smart-speaker has been delayed until early 2018. HomePod won’t be in Apple’s 2017 product launch list, confirmed the company.

Apple issued a statement to John Paczkowski, which mentioned the company needs ‘a little more time’ to get the smart-speaker ready for customers. The HomePod will not be released this year, rather early next year.

Apple announced HomePod during this year’s WWDC back in June, and is supposed to be one of the biggest product launches in Apple’s space. However, the company didn’t even mention HomePod during its September Special Event. And now we know why!

With holiday season already arrived, it would be a good sales time for rival companies in smart-speaker business (like Amazon and Google) to cover the market, while Apple fans will have to bypass this season to get their hands on the HomePod.

Amazon Echo

Amazon has launched Alexa, Prime Music, and the Echo line-up in Canada. The company is now offering the Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot to Canadian customers, with promotional discounts as part of initial sales.

Amazon says its voice-assistant Alexa will be able to speak English with a Canadian accent, and will have local knowledge and skills from local developers. What this means is Alexa will be able to house several voice-activated apps — more than 10,000 actually — this year. The company is also offering Amazon Prime Music, which has more than a million songs on-demand, to Amazon Prime members in Canada.

“Tens of millions of customers are already using Alexa, and today we’re excited to bring her to Canada with an experience designed from the ground up for our Canadian customers,” said Tom Taylor, Senior Vice President, Amazon Alexa. “The combination of Alexa and Echo provides customers with hands-free access to music, weather, news, information, and more—just ask.”

The Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot retail for $129.99 CAD, $199.99 CAD, and $69.99 CAD respectively (that’s the usual price), but you can grab them for a little less as long as introductory discounts are applied. Discounted pricing for the Amazon Echo devices in Canada follows:

  • Amazon Echo: $99.99 CAD
  • Amazon Echo Plus: $169.99 CAD
  • Amazon Echo Dot: $49.99 CAD

Pre-orders are now live at Amazon Canada, with shipping starting on December 5 next month.

OnePlus 5T Box

OnePlus’ launch event for the OnePlus 5T will take place next week in Brooklyn, New York. But it looks like the company has not much to reveal now… here’s the OnePlus 5T. Say hello!

While OnePlus fans have already sold out the tickets to the event, a huge spoiler has been revealed by ZDNet Germany. The Deutsch blog has revealed the OnePlus 5T in its full glory ahead of November 16 launch event, revealing the flagship’s images, specs, in-the-box content, and secondary cases as well. And this is for real!

The OnePlus 5T, as the name suggests, is a refinement to the OnePlus 5, with bumped up specs and features. The handset resembles the 5.5-inch OnePlus 5 in many ways, but the differentiator here is the 6-inch AMOLED panel (1080×2160, 18:9, 401ppi) with minimal bezel around it, and the fingerprint sensor, which is now moved to the back of the phone.

The OnePlus 5T, according to ZDNet Germany, will sport a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of storage, 3,300mAh battery, and dual camera setup (16-megapixel combined with 20-megapixel) on the back. Of course, it will come with USB Type-C and headphone jack port, and will run OxygenOS atop Android 7.1.1 Nougat. No Oreo at launch, not yet!
